Saudi Prince Khalid bin Salman Al Saud conferred with Nishan-e-Pakistan

Visiting Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman Al Saud was conferred with Pakistan's highest civilian award, the Nishan-e-Pakistan, on Resolution Day (March 23).
President Asif Zardari conferred the prestigious award on Saudi Minister at a special ceremony held at the President's House in Islamabad.
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and others.
Saudi Defence Minister was invited by the Pakistani government to witness the Pakistan Day parade as the guest of honour.
The award recognises Saudi Arabia's services to Pakistan in the war against terrorism.
"His Royal Highness the Crown Prine and the Prime Minister, Muhammad Bin Salman, envisions transforming the Pak-KSA relationship into an enduring strategic partnership that is distant and plays an important role in the security and stability of the region and beyond," the statement from President house said.
