The second round of negotiations between Pakistan and Afghanistan concluded in Istanbul, Türkiye.

According to sources, the talks between the delegations of both countries were held at a local hotel in Istanbul and were hosted by senior Turkish officials.

Sources said the Istanbul discussions reviewed progress on the points agreed upon during the earlier round of talks held in Qatar.

Pakistan reportedly presented a comprehensive plan to the Taliban aimed at curbing terrorism.

As per details, Pakistan was represented by a two-member delegation, while the Afghan side was led by Deputy Interior Minister Rahmatullah Mujib.

It is worth noting that the first round of talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan, mediated by Qatar and Türkiye, took place in Doha and resulted in a ceasefire agreement between the two countries.

Due to ongoing tensions, border crossings at Chaman, Khyber, North and South Waziristan, and Kurram remain closed for the 14th consecutive day.

Hundreds of cargo trucks are stranded at the Bab-e-Dosti, Torkham, Kharlachi, Angoor Adda, and Ghulam Khan border points.
