Sharae Faisal to remain closed tonight

Karachi Traffic Police has issued a road closure and traffic diversion plan in preparation for the security arrangements for the 12th International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024.

According to officials, several points along Shahrah-e-Faisal will be temporarily closed. From 2:00 AM to 5:00 AM on November 23, traffic will be restricted in both directions from Drigh Road to Karsaz. Additionally, Habib Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road, the route connecting Karsaz to Hassan Square, will also be blocked.

Traffic from Karachi Airport will not be allowed to proceed towards Karsaz Road or Stadium Road. Instead, vehicles will be diverted from Drigh Road to Rashid Minhas Road, and from there to Millennium Mall, continuing towards NIPA.

Airport-bound traffic from FTC and Nursery areas will be diverted to Shaheed-e-Millat Road via Baloch Colony Bridge, bypassing Karsaz and the airport.

Drivers coming from Jail Chowrangi will be directed to use Hassan Square, NIPA, and Rashid Minhas Road to reach Drigh Road or the airport.

Traffic coming from University Road will be diverted from Stadium Road, Karsaz, and Millennium Mall. Alternative routes include Jail Chowrangi, PP Chowrangi, or Shaheed-e-Millat Road.

Furthermore, traffic from Liaquatabad number 10 will not be allowed to proceed towards Stadium Road via Hasan Square Bridge.

IDEAS 2024, which concluded today at the Expo Center, showcased a wide range of advanced defense technologies, including armaments, armored vehicles, combat aircraft, helicopters, naval vessels, submarines, and drones.
