Marwat asks Maryam Nawaz to lead Punjab police in operation against Katcha dacoits

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Sher Afzal Marwat has reacted to Maryam Nawaz's move to attend Elite Force passing out parade in commando's uniform. 

In his informal media talk, Marwat said commandoes use to jump from helicopters and show bravery, wearing the uniform does not make one a commando.

He also advised Maryam Nawaz to lead the Punjab police in operation against dacoits in Katcha.

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz attended the passing out parade of the provincial police as a chief guest donning the 'Elite force uniform'.

The ceremony was held at the Elite Force training centre located at Bedian Road in Lahore.

The first woman CM Punjab was criticised by her opponents for donning a police uniform reportedly without obtaining a permit from the provincial police department.

According to the Police Order 2002, the use of police uniforms without authorisation is a punishable crime under clause 151.
