The Sikh community in London staged a protest outside the Indian High Commission, expressing solidarity with the Pakistan Army amid heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed nations. The demonstrators pledged to protect Pakistan against Indian attack.
The Pahalgam attack on April 22 led to the breaking of the ceasefire agreement over the Kashmir issue, the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty 1965, and increased the chances of a potential war between two nuclear-armed neighbors.
During these border tensions, the Sikh separatists and the Khalistan Movement's leaders pledged to support Pakistan, stating that they would “not allow to use of Indian Punjab territory against Pakistan”.

The Sikh community staged a protest on Thursday outside the Indian High Commission in London. The demonstrators said that “Indian embassies have become centres of terrorism, Sikhs would not permit them to use Punjab against Pakistan”.
They pledged that they would deal with India with an iron hand if it engages in "water terrorism," referring to New Delhi's unilateral suspension of the Indus Water Treaty and the threat to stop the river flow into Pakistan.
Pakistani and Kashmiri communities also held a protest in Paris, where demonstrators chanted slogans against India's threats to Pakistan and the termination of the Indus Waters Treaty.
They said that the entire overseas community was standing with the Pakistani army.

Earlier, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a prominent Sikh leader based in Canada, had declared that 20 million Sikhs stand with Pakistan and will not allow the Indian army to cross Punjab to launch an attack on Pakistan.
Speaking firmly, Pannun stated that "the very name of Pakistan signifies purity," adding that India does not dare to cross Punjab and attack Pakistan.
He further said that the oppression of minorities, particularly Sikhs, in India is well known to the world. Pannun vowed to bring Indian leaders, including Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, S Jaishankar, and Ajit Doval before international courts to face justice under global laws.
