The Sindh Home Department has declared the security alert circulating on social media regarding Karachi to be fake.

In a statement, the department urged the public and media not to share any unverified messages, clarifying that the notification being shared on social media is bogus.

The department described the fake alert as misleading, emphasizing that all official security advisories are issued only through authorized channels of the Home Department.

It also appealed to citizens and media outlets to refrain from spreading unverified information.

It is pertinent to mention that a fake notification, allegedly issued by the Sindh Home Department, has been circulating on social media, claiming that a high-level security alert had been declared in Karachi from November 12 to November 30, 2025.

According to the false report, the alert was based on supposed intelligence received from federal and provincial agencies warning of potential terrorist or sabotage activities in the city.
