Security forces killed six militants during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Panjgur district, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on the night of June 3 and 4 after reports regarding the presence of militants belonging to “Indian proxy, Fitna al Hindustan.”
“During the conduct of operation, own forces effectively engaged multiple terrorist locations, and after intense fire exchanges, six Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell,” the ISPR said in a statement.
The military said that weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and a vehicle were recovered from the killed militants, who it said had been involved in “numerous terrorist activities” in the area.
The ISPR added that sanitisation operations were underway to eliminate any other suspected militants present in the area.
“Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ ... by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the statement said.
