A shocking revelation has emerged regarding the suicide bomber responsible for the explosion near Karachi airport, which claimed the lives of three foreign nationals and injured 17 others on October 6.

According to investigating authorities, the bomber held a diploma in civil engineering from a technical college in Mandi Bahauddin, obtained after matriculating from a government school in Noshki in 2016.

Furthermore, the attacker had enrolled in a BBA program at Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water & Marine Sciences.

The powerful explosion, allegedly caused by an improvised explosive device, damaged several vehicles, including two rickshaws, two motorcycles, and a police mobile.

Later, Sindh Home Minister Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar confirmed that foreign nationals were targeted in the attack.

The banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it used a vehicle-borne IED device.

Investigating authorities have made major progress in the case, obtaining data from six suspicious phone numbers and detaining nine suspects for questioning.

The probe also revealed that the vehicle used in the attack was carrying 80kg of explosives and was purchased from a resident of Karachi.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the blast, extending heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred Chinese citizens and praying for the swift recovery of the injured.

The Chinese Embassy in Pakistan also denounced the attack.
