Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Tariq Bashir Cheema on Thursday received flak after he used 'abusive language' for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) woman lawmaker Zartaj Gul during the National Assembly session.

According to sources, the incident happened when Gul reminded Cheema about the Bahawalpur video incident, in which the PML-Q leader's son was allegedly involved in the recording of over 5,500 girl's indecent videos.

Sources said that the PTI leader interrupted the former federal minister during his speech in the lower house of the parliament.

Enraged by Gul's remarks, Cheema came to PTI stalwart and hurled abuses at her, sources added.

Following the incident, the female politician reached the Speaker's Chamber to record her protest before the maintainer of the house.

On the other hand, PTI-SIC lawmakers staged a walkout in protest against the PML-Q's sexist remarks.

This is not the first time that any politician passed derogatory and sexist statements against any woman parliamentarian.

Earlier on April 27, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ali Amin Gandapur used offensive language against his provincial counterpart, Maryam Nawaz.

Referring to CM Maryam's positive gesture towards policewomen by wearing a cop's uniform, a journalist asked CM Gandapur would also wear the KP police's uniform.

"She does so much more things. Tomorrow you will ask me to do the same," Gandapur replied.

Earlier in 2022, CM KP made headlines when he made sexist remarks against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) seniour vice-president during a political gathering in Gilgit-Baltistan's Shigar.

“She is beautiful, I will speak the truth. But listen to this as well — she spent tens of millions on surgeries during Nawaz Sharif’s two governments, using your tax money to fix herself," Gandapur said in front of the large public gathering.

"If I pick anyone from the crowd and spend just a little bit of taxpayer money on them, then they will also turn into Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise," he added.

Following his sexist remarks, political analysts, workers, and experts lashed out at Gandapur, demanding an apology for the language used by him.

However, he never issued an apology nor retracted from his misogynist remarks.
