Karachi: Teachers at Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (Fuuast) staged a strong protest against the Vice-Chancellor, citing unresolved grievances and growing concerns over the university's administration.

Instead of engaging in negotiations with the protesting teachers, Vice-Chancellor Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari reportedly left the campus on a motorcycle, further intensifying tensions.

According to reports, angry demonstrators lay down in front of the Vice-Chancellor’s vehicle and chanted slogans during the protest. During the protest the Vice-Chancellor was allegedly compelled to disembark from a rickshaw as the demonstration escalated.

The protest extended onto University Road, causing significant traffic disruption in the area.

The ongoing dispute has highlighted a worsening administrative crisis at the university, with teachers and the administration now in direct confrontation.

Protest leaders have announced that demonstrations will continue until their demands are accepted.

The situation on campus remains tense, with students also facing difficulties as a result of the continuing unrest.
