The highly anticipated ruling in a £190 million case has been delayed once more, as confirmed by sources.
The court had reserved its decision on December 18, and it will not be announced tomorrow as previously expected, according to these sources.
This represents the third alteration of the announcement date.
Sources further indicate that the attorneys involved in the case will be notified of the new verdict date tomorrow. No explanation for the recent delay has been made public.
The Accountability Court had reserved its judgment in December, concluding a year-long trial that included the testimony of 35 witnesses recorded by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Lawyers representing PTI conducted cross-examinations of these witnesses.
Notable witnesses included former Principal Secretary Azam Khan, former Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, and former Federal Minister Zubaida Jalal.
The charges related to the £190 million case were formally established on February 27 of the previous year.
