The American daily Washington Post has recognized Pakistan’s recent diplomatic achievements, noting that Islamabad’s relations with Washington have entered a “new phase of strength.”
According to the report, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir’s active diplomacy has played a pivotal role in reshaping bilateral ties.
His recent visit to Washington was described as a “symbol of a new dimension” in Pakistan-US relations.
While Donald Trump’s return to the US presidency was initially viewed as a challenge for Islamabad, Pakistani officials successfully recalibrated their approach to engage the White House under shifting global dynamics.

The Post highlighted that Washington praised Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts, particularly the designation of the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) as an international terrorist organization—a move attributed to Islamabad’s successful lobbying.
It further reported that Pakistan extended proposals for cooperation in sectors such as cryptocurrency projects and mineral development, to which President Trump expressed readiness to invest in multiple areas of Pakistan’s economy.
The newspaper added that bilateral momentum also grew following the ceasefire agreement with India, further cementing prospects for regional stability and deeper engagement between the two nations.
