"We don't want loans, we want investment from UAE," says PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday reached the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on a day-long important visit.
Vice President and Chairman of Presidential Court of UAE Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the premier upon his arrival in Abu Dhabi.
Pakistani Ambassador to UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al Zaabi and other Pakistan and Emirati authorities were also present at the airport.
According to the statement issued by the foreign office, PM Shehbaz will hold a meeting with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss matters of mutual interests, including trade and investment.
During his visit, the premier also attended a round-table session, named "Innovate Together: UAE-Pakistan Tech Collaborations."

While addressing the participants of the event, PM Shehnaz emphasised on boosting a relationship with the Gulf country based on investments.
"We don't want loans, we want investment from the UAE," he said.
"More than 60 percent of Pakistan's population consists of youth, who are finding their futures in IT sector," PM remarked.
Referring to the session consisting of IT experts, PM Shehbaz said that there is a need to finalise a framework for IT sector in Pakistan.
"We are trying to speed up digitisation process in Pakistan as well," he concluded.
