Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed confidence that Pakistan would prevail in the war imposed by India and vowed a firm retaliation against Indian attacks in defence of the nation.

Speaking to Geo News, Dar stated, "We have just responded, the world is watching India’s continued aggression. Pakistan is doing everything necessary for its defence, several Indian drones have been shot down."

Dar emphasised that Pakistan is taking defensive action and had no choice but to respond to India’s military provocations.

Referring to recent developments, he said, “The spectacle that India has created over the last three days— we will not allow India to claim dominance. The armed forces and the government of Pakistan are determined not to let this happen.”

He added that the end of Operation Bunyan ul Mursoos depends on India’s actions. "Our military-civilian leadership decided to launch the operation after the attack on Nur Khan Air Base. We could not remain patient any longer. We are only responding to them," the Deputy Premier said.

"Until now, we have shown a lot of patience. But there is a limit to everything, especially when it comes to hypocrisy and double standards.”

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the steps taken by the Pakistani military and civilian leadership are proportionate. “Many more steps can still be taken, and we are ready for them. But this is the minimum necessary action at this time, and it will continue for some time. We are only taking revenge for what India has done.”

Speaking about India’s cowardly attacks on Pakistan since the Pahalgam incident, Ishaq Dar said, “While remaining within our territory, we targeted the planes that entered Pakistan and shot down five of them. There were clear instructions not to go into attack mode. Our patience was tested, and now it is over. The steps taken are defensive. The world can see this.”
