Winter vacations announced for schools in Sindh and Punjab

The Sindh Education Department has officially announced the winter vacation schedule for all public and private educational institutions in the province.

According to a notification released on Tuesday, the winter break will begin on December 22 and last until December 31, 2024. Educational institutions will reopen on January 1, 2025.

The vacation schedule was decided following a meeting of the Sub-Committee of the Steering Committee on Education, chaired by the Sindh Minister for Education.

In parallel, the Punjab School Education Department also revealed its winter vacation schedule. Schools across the province will be closed from December 20, 2024, to January 10, 2025.

Classes will resume on January 13, 2025. Both announcements mark the beginning of the winter holidays for students in their respective provinces.

Earlier, the Education Department of Balochistan officially announced the winter vacation schedule for schools and colleges across the province.

According to a notification issued on Saturday, educational institutions in cold regions of Balochistan will remain closed from December 16, 2024, to February 28, 2025, for a duration of 65 days.
