Chinese company ADM Group has announced a $350 million investment in Pakistan, with support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

The investment will primarily focus on the development of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure and manufacturing within the country.

As part of the initiative, ADM Group plans to establish over 3,000 EV charging stations across Pakistan. The company aims to set up 1,000 charging stations in Sindh, 1,500 in Punjab, and 750 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

In addition to the charging infrastructure, ADM Group will invest $250 million in constructing an electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Pakistan. Another $90 million will be allocated for the development of the necessary charging infrastructure to support the widespread adoption of electric vehicles.

The new electric vehicles, which can travel up to 300 kilometers on a single charge, are expected to play a crucial role in reducing carbon emissions and decreasing Pakistan’s reliance on traditional fuel sources.
