Prominent internet personality Jimmy Donaldson, widely recognized as MrBeast, has emerged as a potential buyer for TikTok’s U.S. operations amid increasing concerns regarding a possible nationwide ban on the platform.

In partnership with a consortium of investors, Donaldson is reportedly taking steps to acquire the application as its parent company, ByteDance, confronts an urgent deadline to identify a new owner.

Sources indicate that ByteDance has fewer than 75 days to finalize a deal or risk facing a permanent prohibition in the United States.

The ban, which was initially implemented on January 19, received a temporary extension from President Donald Trump after his inauguration.

As TikTok’s third most popular creator and the most-followed individual on YouTube, Donaldson recently expressed his intentions through a post on X, stating, “Fine, I’ll buy TikTok so it doesn’t get banned.”

While the message appeared to be humorous, Donaldson’s legal counsel has confirmed his genuine interest in the acquisition.

Shortly thereafter, he posted a video on TikTok, declaring, “I just left a meeting with billionaires. TikTok, we’re serious. Here’s my lawyer; we’ve got an offer for you.”
