The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and Meta have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to enhance online safety for young people in Pakistan.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on issues related to online content safety and work to strengthen institutional capacity in Pakistan.

The partnership will also focus on joint initiatives promoting online safety and digital well-being for children and young people.

The PTA and Meta will further cooperate on capacity-building programs, policy dialogue, and public awareness campaigns aimed at fostering a safer digital environment.

PTA Chairman Hafeez Ur Rehman said the authority is committed to creating a secure and trusted digital ecosystem for users.

He added that the partnership will encourage responsible online behavior among children and young people while supporting broader efforts to strengthen digital safety across the country.
