TikTok took down nearly 25 million videos of Pakistani users in the first quarter of 2025 for violating its community guidelines, the platform revealed in its latest transparency report.

According to TikTok’s Q1 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, covering the period from January to March, a total of 24,954,128 videos were removed in Pakistan.

The country’s proactive removal rate remained among the highest globally, standing at 99.4%, with 95.8% of flagged content taken down within 24 hours of being posted.

Globally, TikTok removed around 211 million videos over the same three-month period, representing approximately 0.9% of all content uploaded to the platform. Of those, more than 184 million were detected and taken down by automated systems, while over 7.5 million were reinstated after secondary reviews.

The report highlighted that 30.1% of the videos removed worldwide contained sensitive or mature content, making it the most common reason for enforcement. Other key violations included misinformation (45.5%), breaches of privacy and security (15.6%), safety and civility issues (11.5%), and use of manipulated or AI-generated media (13.8%).

TikTok said the report reflects its commitment to transparency and accountability in content moderation.

It added that the quarterly updates aim to inform users, regulators, and the wider public about how the platform enforces its guidelines and what types of content are most frequently flagged and removed.
