12-year-old domestic helper tortured to death in Faisalabad

A minor girl employed as a domestic help was allegedly tortured to death in Faisalabad, local police confirmed on Saturday.

According to police, the harrowing incident took place in the Naimat colony area of Faisalabad where a 12-year-old househelp was murdered by her employer.

Police said the suspects were arrested to investigate the distressing incident.

The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged against three suspects, including two females, who employed the victim at their house, on the complaint of the minor girl's parents, police said.

As per the information provided by the police, the suspects transferred the girl's body to the Civil hospital, claiming "some sort of allergy took her life".

The torture marks on the child's body prompted doctors to call the police, who upon reaching the hospital took suspects into their custody.

However, police said more facts into the matter will come after the post-mortem of the girl's body.
