7-year-old boy raped, killed by cousin brother in Punjab

In a shocking incident, a 7-year-old boy was raped and murdered by his cousin brother in Punjab's Lodhran, police said on Tuesday.

According to the police, the distressing incident took place in Muradpur area of Lodhran city.

Police said that they recovered the tortured body of the victim from the fields in Muradpur.

The suspect was arrested by the law enforcers following the registration of the case on the complaint of the victim boy's father.

During the investigation, the suspect confessed to his crimes, saying he killed the minor boy after sexually assaulting him.

However, the police are investigating the matter.

In a similar incident on June 22, a 12-year-old boy was raped at gunpoint by three suspects in Lahore.

On June 20, a minor boy was allegedly raped by his seminary teacher in a mosque located in Depalpur city of Punjab.

A mentally challenged girl was raped by her relative in Lodhran city on June 19.
