Balochistan Bugti hails Balochistan anti-terror operations

QUETTA: In remarks on Wednesday, the Chief Minister of Baluchistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti appreciated the efforts made by the army, security apparatus and law enforcement agencies for conducting successful Intelligence Based Operations in Surab and Mastung which he described as a big achievement for the ongoing counter-terrorism drive in the province.

He said in a press statement that the intelligence based operations carried out during last 48 hours led to killing of the terrorists, destruction of their hideouts and arrests of the suspects planning suicide attacks.

He appreciated the efforts of security agencies in the success of the operations, which were a manifestation of the high level of professionalism and commitment of the security institutions to maintaining peace and stability.

The chief minister said that through these operations the terrorist network had been disrupted and prevented from implementing its plans.

Reiterating his government’s dedication towards law and order, Bugti mentioned that Balochistan will continue to work in close coordination with the armed forces and other security establishments for the purpose of ensuring greater safety and security for the people.

Having confidence in the cooperation of the federal and provincial governments and security establishments, Bugti said that the continued effort against terrorism will lead to the establishment of durable peace and economic growth of the province.
