Dacoits snatch car from citizen in broad daylight in Karachi

The CCTV footage emerged of a carjacking incident that took place two days ago near Maskan Chowrangi in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi.

The video showed a citizen getting into his car after shopping, only to find himself surrounded by four dacoits.

The muggers took the citizen as a hostage, later dropped him off at a nearby location and escaped with the stolen vehicle.

The four assailants, arriving in a white car, brazenly executed snatching in broad daylight.

Authorities have confirmed that a complaint has been lodged with the police, and the Anti-Vehicle Lifitng Cell (AVLC) is currently investigating the case.

The ruthless dacoits have killed almost 59 people during the four months of the ongoing year and as many as 20 people have lost lives in the holy month of Ramadan.

According to reports, 6,780 street crime incidents were reported in the port city in one month.

Sources said that 20 vehicles were snatched at gunpoint and more than 130 others were stolen.

Almost 830 motorcycles were snatched and 4,200 others were stolen during Ramadan. As many as 1,600 mobile phones were snatched from the citizens in Karachi.
