CM Maryam consoles mother, sister of slain Sargodha housemaid

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz met the mother and sister of a minor housemaid, who was tortured to death by her employer in Sargodha.

According to the police, Sargodha's feudal named Jawad Bhatti and his wife allegedly struck Ayesha with iron rods and sticks, which took the 12-year-old's life.

Following the alleged murder, the suspects informed Ayesha's family on a phone call that their daughter had an accident.

The mother of the victim girl said that when she reached the house her daughter was tortured and killed, police added.

However, Bhatti and his wife were arrested by the police for the gruesome murder.

Nawaz Sharif's daughter met the bereaved family of the victim to console them and assured them of the government’s full support.

Recognising the family's pain, she offered words of comfort and solidarity with the victim's family.

"As a mother myself, I share your grief," CM Maryam told Ayesha's mother.
