The Karachi police on Thursday arrested Station House Officer (SHO) Zaman Town police station and four cops for allegedly looting Rs10.8 million from a businessman in the metropolis.

According to the police, the suspects have been suspended from the service due to their alleged involvement in the robbery.

After the investigation team found evidence against the suspects, they cordoned off Zaman Town police station, located in Korangi area of Karachi, to arrest SHO Rao Rafiq and his accomplices.

However, two other suspects, identified as Zafar and Karam, are still at large, police informed.

As per details, the suspects, a few days ago, kidnapped a businessman and his partner from Karachi's Super Highway and looted Rs10.8 million and other valuables from them.

After committing the crime, SHO and his team left the victims in the North Nazimabad area of the port city, police said.

The police are investigating a matter and conducting raids to arrest the remaining suspects.
