The Punjab government has decided to take strict action against one-dish violations and unnecessary use of loudspeakers.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, in which all the commissioners and deputy commissioners were ordered to ensure ban on one dish.

Maryam Nawaz has also directed strict action on loud music in weddings and events, while instructions have been issued to ban illegal use of loudspeakers in farmhouses and grounds.

In the meeting, a principled decision has been taken to ensure ban on one-dish in farmhouses and grounds, while instructions have also been issued to monitor the ban on fixed working hours for marriage halls.

The chief minister warned that government officers would not attend any wedding or event found violating the one-dish policy or loudspeaker regulations.

Authorities say the strengthened monitoring framework is designed to bring uniformity and discipline to social gatherings throughout the province.
