Eight-year-old child dies after falling into open manhole in Karachi

Another child passed away after falling into an open manhole in Karachi. The incident occured in Karachi's Korangi.

As per details, the child fallen into open manhole in Korangi's Mehran Town area and died. 

Despite the recent traged that claimed life of a three ears old child outside a superstore in Karachi, the authorities are failing to cover the manholes.

Earlier this month, an elderly man fell into an open manhole in Korangi and lost his life.

The tragic incident happened near the Kabaddi Ground in Korangi No. 3. The 70-year-old man was a resident of Zaman Town, Sector 34/3.

The incident sparked anger in local residents who blamed authorities for failing to address repeated complaints about uncovered drains across the city.

They urged the authorities to cover the uncovered drains on urgent basis to prevent further casualties. 

This incident comes shortly after Ibrahim, a three year old boy, fell into an open drain outside a shopping center earlier this month and lost his life sparking widespread public outrage over carelessness of authorities in covering these open drains all across the city.
