In a shocking turn of events, dacoits have stolen parts of a CT scan machine and other essential equipment from a Sindh government hospital in the Liaquatabad area of Karachi.
Details reveal that the stolen equipment from the Advanced Trauma Centre includes wiring, circuits, UPS systems, batteries, and other critical components.
The CT scan machine, installed at a cost of over Rs 10 million, is now out of service, forcing patients to be referred to other hospitals for their scans.
However, sources have disclosed that the investigation into the theft has been halted by influential authorities.
In a separate incident, a fake doctor was apprehended at Karachi Civil Hospital.
Abdullah, a bakery worker, was caught making rounds in the hospital's Trauma Centre while wearing a doctor's gown.
A suspicious security guard verified his identity and discovered that Abdullah was an impostor, subsequently handing him over to the police.
Abdullah confessed to the police that he had always dreamt of becoming a medical practitioner but was unable to achieve this due to his educational limitations.
