Father of two killed for resisting robbery in Karachi on Eid day

In yet another incident of street crime in Karachi, a man was killed by dacoits for resisting robbery in Karachi's Gulshan-e-Iqbal Chowrangi on the second day of Eidul Fitr day.
As per details, the victim was identified as Turab Zaidi, who was the father of two children and was working at a call centre in the metropolis.
The incident happened when the 40-year-old withdrew cash from an ATM located at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Chowrangi, police said.
According to police, four robbers on two motorbikes came with the intent to rob Zaidi, and upon showing some resistance they shot dead him.
The robbers hit a bullet on Zaidi's head which proved to be fatal for him, police added.
The ruthless dacoits have killed almost 59 people during the four months of the ongoing year and as many as 20 people have lost lives in the holy month of Ramadan.
According to reports, 6,780 street crime incidents were reported in the port city in one month.
Sources said that 20 vehicles were snatched at gunpoint and more than 130 others were stolen.
Almost 830 motorcycles were snatched and 4,200 others were stolen during Ramadan.
As many as 1,600 mobile phones were snatched from the citizens in Karachi.
