Female student attempts suicide at Lahore University

A female student at a private university jumped from the second floor in an attempt to commit suicide on Monday.

She was later rushed to the hospital.

The 21-year-old student, Fatima, who is enrolled in the D-Pharm program, attempted suicide and was immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment.

The Nawab Town police reached the scene and launched an investigation.

A few days ago, another D-Pharm student at the same university had also jumped from the building. The student, identified as Awais Sultan, was studying at the Department of Pharmacy at UOL and suffered critical injuries following the fall. Rescue officials rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
