Female student jumps from medical college roof in Lahore

A female student reportedly jumped from the roof of Fatima Jinnah Medical College in Lahore on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services were immediately called to the scene. Rescue 1122 personnel transported the student to the hospital in a critical condition.

According to police, the incident occurred from the third floor of the college building. The student was residing in the college hostel, and authorities are investigating the reasons behind the attempted suicide.

The college administration confirmed that the student, Fariha, is a final-year MBBS student from Azad Kashmir and lives in the hostel. Hospital officials stated that she was walking on the third floor when she became dizzy and fell.

Police have launched an investigation, keeping open the possibilities of suicide or other contributing factors.
