Sialkot: Former police officer arrested for killing Christian servant over suspicion of theft

A former police officer was arrested in Sialkot for brutally torturing a Christian servant to death over suspicions of mobile phone theft, according to local police.
The First Information Report (FIR) was registered at the Motra Police Station in Sialkot, stating that the suspect identified as Malik Irfan, a former police officer, killed his servant identified as Kashif Masih, for accusing him of mobile strealing.
According to the FIR, two days ago, Irfan, along with two of his friends, allegedly subjected Kashif to severe torture that ultimately led to his death.
As per reports, the victim was beaten with sticks and other blunt objects, and disturbingly, nails were hammered into his legs. Kashif succumbed to his injuries shortly after the assault.

District Police Officer (DPO) Sialkot, Faisal Shahzad, took immediate notice of the incident and formed a special team to apprehend the suspects. Malik Irfan was arrested, while the two other accused, identified as Areeb and Ijaz, secured bail from the court.
Punjab Prosecutor General Syed Farhad Ali Shah also took notice of the case, declaring it a high-profile matter. He summoned the investigating officer along with the complete case record for review.
“The protection of life and property of every citizen is the responsibility of the prosecution,” Prosecutor General Shah emphasised.
