In-laws kill woman, portray murder as suicide in Karachi's Surjani

In a heart-wrenching incident, in Surjani town, karachi, a girl named Asma Qureshi was supposedly murdered by her in-laws which they, later, falsely claimed was a suicide.

Asma’s family stated that she entered into a love marriage with a man named Vasaya Masih. He had falsely claimed before marriage that he had converted to Islam, which led to constant arguments and conflicts between Asma and her husband’s family.

They also revealed that there were ongoing tensions in the household due to religious and family differences. Asma was subjected to pressure from her in-laws ever since the start of their marriage.

Police have arrested Vasaya Masih, who is currently under the custody of Surjani Town Police. Authorities have conducted a post-mortem examination at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to determine the actual cause of death.

The family is adamant that Asma did not commit suicide and that the situation is being manipulated to cover the gruesome act of murder. They are now demanding a transparent investigation and justice for Asma.
