Islamabad: woman driver assaults, verbally abuses bike rider after minor accident

A video circulating on social media showed a woman driver shouting, abusing, and physically assaulting a bike rider in Islamabad after a minor accident outside Polyclinic Hospital on Monday.

In the viral clip, the woman can be seen yelling in anger at a man who was riding a Bykea, a bike-hailing service. Despite her aggressive behavior, the man remained composed while she continued hurling insults.

Bystanders gathered at the scene and attempted to defuse the situation, but the woman not only tried to damage the man's vehicle but also attempted to physically assault him.

“My car is more precious than your bike,” she was heard shouting.

When the bike rider urged her to speak respectfully, she responded with more verbal abuse, tried to damage his bike again, and then returned to her car.

Social media users expressed their disapproval of the woman's behavior, praising the bike rider for maintaining his composure.

Many criticised her for reacting so aggressively over a minor accident, arguing that this incident reflected how some members of the elite class mistreat those they perceive as inferior.

The absence of traffic police at the scene was also noted by users, with many tagging Islamabad Police and urging authorities to take action against the woman driver.
