A suspected serial rapist was brought to Karachi's City Courts to record his confessional statement in cases pertaining to sexually abusing minor girls.
According to witnesses, the mother of one of the victims beat the suspect outside the courtroom. They said that other people present there also thrashed him.
As a result, the suspect’s condition deteriorated and police shifted him to an undisclosed location for safety.
Initially, four FIRs were registered against him in connection with the assault of four girls and one boy. Later, Section 22 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 — relating to child pornography — was also added after investigators recovered his mobile phone and a USB drive allegedly containing more than 100 explicit videos.

Earlier this week, a judicial magistrate extended his police remand for three more days. Investigators told the court that while the suspect admitted to committing abuse during questioning, he avoided identifying other victims and frequently changed his statements.
The investigation officer further informed the court that Ahmed’s custody was necessary to record victims’ statements under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code, trace additional victims, and verify his criminal history.
