Karsaz accident: 17-year-old driver was speeding without license

Karachi: A shocking revelation has emerged in the Karsaz accident case, which claimed the lives of a husband and wife on Wednesday. Investigation revealed that the car involved in the deadly crash was being driven by an underage, unlicensed driver.
The driver was apprehended on the spot as bystanders surrounded him and handed him over to the police.
During the investigation, police revealed that the suspect, identified as Aniq Imam, was driving a friend’s car without having CNIC and a driving license, as he was only 17 years old, as he was legally ineligible to obtain the said document.
The First Information Report (FIR) registered on the complaint of the woman’s father stated that his daughter and son-in-law were on their way home when a speeding car crashed into their motorcycle, killing them on the spot.

The victims were identified as Aqsa and Ayaz.
According to eyewitnesses, two cars were racing from the airport when a white vehicle collided with the couple's motorcycle.
The car’s tyre burst shortly after the crash, bringing it to a halt. Citizens at the scene caught the driver as he attempted to flee and handed him over to the police.
The enraged crowd also damaged the vehicle.
Police confirmed that four individuals were inside the speeding car, three of whom managed to escape. The driver, identified as Aniq Imam, was arrested.
