Hundreds of anti-Israel protestors in Sukkur stormed a renowned fast-food joint KFC outlet and went on a vandalising rampage that culminated in setting the restaurant ablaze.
The incident took place at Military Road and the videos of the torching also went viral on social media.
In the viral video, the angry mob could be seen smashing the outlet with many setting the eatery's furniture on fire.
The protestors, in the video, could be heard chanting anti-Israel slogans. The mob also blocked Military Road by torching motorbikes.
However, police reached the spot and dispersed the protestors by using tear gas and baton charges, sources said.
The police have also arrested 8-10 people allegedly involved in the riots in the city.
In a similar incident on March 30, a KFC outlet was smashed and torched by anti-Israel protestors in Mirpur city of Pakistan-administered Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Following the vandalism, the local police started a search operation, arresting over 50 men allegedly involved in the crime.
