A resident of Karachi has gone viral on social media after opening up about the deep emotional bond his family shares with their two-year-old sacrificial animal, lovingly named “Laadla.”

Speaking in a heartfelt video ahead of Eidul Azha, the man said the animal has become the favourite of the entire household, including his mother and sister-in-law.

“Meri bhabhi, meri amma, sab ka favourite hai. Iska naam Laadla hai. Humne isko do saal pala hai,” he said, adding that the family chose the name because the animal is dearly loved at home.

The resident shared that while his family previously bought sacrificial animals only a month or two before Eid, this time they decided to raise one themselves out of passion and affection.

Recalling the early days, he said the family initially struggled to care for the animal as it would become anxious while eating fodder. “Hum neeche aake uske paas baithte thay, pyaar karte thay, phir woh theek rehta tha,” he explained.

He further revealed that for nearly a year, the animal would only drink water from his sister-in-law’s hands and refused to take it from anyone else.

“Main ne apne aap se zyada iska khayal rakha hai,” he said emotionally, explaining how caring for Laadla became part of the family’s daily life.

According to him, the family now gathers every night around 10:30pm to sit with the animal and drink tea together. He even recalled an incident when the family briefly went to a farmhouse, joking that Laadla became upset and stopped “talking” to them after they returned.

The touching video has resonated widely online, with many social media users relating to the strong emotional connections families often develop with sacrificial animals before Eidul Azha.
