In an alarming increase in street crimes, a scrap dealer was robbed by two armed dacoits in broad daylight in the Shershah area of Karachi, CCTV footage showed on Saturday.

The incident took place on Friday (April 19) in Super Colonel Godown and the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage also went viral on social media.

In the video, two armed muggers on a motorbike can be seen approaching and looting a man sitting outside his shop in the Shershah scrap market.

Robbers also hid their faces to refrain from getting captured in the CCTV installed at the shop.

The bandits managed to complete the bid in just 27 seconds, fleeing from the scene after committing crime.

At least 60 people have been killed in the metropolis for resisting robbery in just four months of the ongoing year.
