Pakistan has ranked significantly higher than India in terms of happiness, according to a recent survey by Gallup Pakistan.

In the Gallup Global Happiness Index, Pakistan was placed 8th among 44 countries.

Despite ongoing challenges, 72% of Pakistanis reported being happy with their lives.

In contrast, Indian citizens were ranked at the bottom of the list, with only 31% expressing happiness, while 34% said they were dissatisfied with life.

Chinese citizens topped the happiness index with 86% expressing contentment, surpassing many European countries.

Gallup Pakistan, which specialises in public opinion research, noted that the findings reflect a resilient spirit among Pakistanis even amid political and economic difficulties.

The Happiness Index is based on a wide range of metrics assessing people's overall satisfaction with life, emotional wellbeing, and outlook for the future.
