Policeman arrested for stealing motorcycle in Karachi

Karachi: Police arrested a police officer involved in motorcycle theft during an operation conducted near Civil Hospital.

According to police officials, the officer was apprehended by Eidgah Police for his involvement in motorcycle thefts.

The arrested officer was posted at Garden Police Station and had joined the force only recently.

Investigations revealed that the officer had stolen a 125cc motorcycle from the Eidgah Police Station jurisdiction in September 2024. He has confessed to the crime.

The case had already been registered at Eidgah Police Station, and the accused was residing at the Garden Headquarters.

For further investigation, he has been handed over to the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC).

Meanwhile, in separate operations, two more suspects — identified as Salman Ishaq and Zain — were arrested.

Suspect Zain, along with his accomplices, was involved in a robbery at a cold drink depot during the month of Ramadan, stealing two mobile phones and one lakh rupees.

Suspect Salman Ishaq was found involved in snatching a woman’s mobile phone.
