An influential landowner has cut off one of the donkey’s legs with an axe for straying into his fields in Pattoki, Punjab.

The police at the Saddar police station have filed a case based on the farmer’s complaint.

According to the FIR, the complainant stated that he had brought fodder for livestock on a donkey cart. After unloading the fodder and separating the donkey from the cart, the donkey ran away.

The farmer and his son went looking for the donkey and heard it braying. When they got to the place, they found the donkey hurt and standing in a nearby field, with one of its legs cut off.

The Saddar police have registered the case and started investigation into the matter.

Earlier, shocking incident was reported in the Muzaffargarh district of Punjab province, where a landlord severed the legs of a donkey for trespassing on his fields.

According to a police spokesperson, the incident occurred in Rampur. The cruel landlord cut off two legs of the donkey, leading to his arrest and the registration of a case against him.

The injured female donkey received medical aid from the Livestock Department.
