Petrol, diesel prices likely to increase from February 16

ISLAMABAD: The prices of petroleum products are expected to rise by a maximum of Rs6.55 per liter from February 16.

According to sources, the price of petrol may rise by Rs4.39 per liter, while high-speed diesel is expected to see an increase of Rs5.40 per liter.

Kerosene oil prices may increase by Rs4 per liter, while light diesel oil prices are expected to go up by Rs6.55 per liter.

The process of working on the new petroleum prices has been completed, sources said.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will send a summary regarding the proposed price change to the Petroleum Division.

After approval from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Petroleum Division is expected to send a notification regarding the new petroleum prices, which will be effective from February 16 if approved.
