Policeman tortured woman after she refused to leave another passenger's seat: Pakistan Raliways

Pakistan Railways spokesperson Babar Ali Raza on Tuesday said that the woman was physically assaulted by the cop after she refused to leave another passenger's seat.
The spokesman informed that the passeger first requested the woman, identified as Maryam, to leave his seat but when she refused, he called policeman.
"Mir Hassan tried to convience woman to leave other passenger's seat for about 20-25 minutes, but she refused, then he subjected her to torture," Raza said while talking to a private news channel.
However, the spokesperson made it clear that the entire information was obtained from the passengers, who eyewitnessed the incident.
The disturbing incident, which took place on April 7 on Karachi to Lala Musa-bound Millat Express, came to the light after the video of the cop thrashing a woman went viral on social media.
In the viral video, a policeman can be seen slapping and manhandling the woman, while the onlookers remain silent on the issue.
Later on Saturday, a local court in Hyderabad granted bail to the prime suspect against the surety bond of Rs35,000.
A day earlier, it was revealed that the victim's body was found near Chani Goth in Bahawalpur on April 8. She was buried in the village on April 9.
According to the initial report from rescue personnel, the woman reportedly jumped from the moving train on April 8 at 6:30am near Chani Goth railway station and died on the spot.
On the other hand, the borther of the deceased accused Mir Hassan and two unidentifed person of her murder.
Afzal said his sister was working at a beauty parlour in Karachi and was coming to home to celebrate Eid.
However, the police are investigating the matter to ascertain the real cause behind the death of the victim.
