Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz approves collective marriage program of 3,000 women from poor families

Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz has approved a collectiv marriage program of 3,000 females of poor families in a landmark move.

The move was approved during the provincial cabinet meeting on Tuesday in Lahore.

The chief minister headed the 17th session of the provincial cabinet in which the government approved the marriages of 3000 women from the poor families.

According to the details, the brides would get Rs100,000 as gift via ATM. Also, items such as furnitures, dresses and dinner sets would be given as gift.

Apart from this development, the session also witnessed deliberations over the electric taxi system in Punjab. The CM was briefed that 680 electric buses would be operational by the end of this year.

Also, the chief executive of the province directed the strict monitoring to control the rates of flour and chicken.
