In the context of the protest announced by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the opposition alliance, Islamabad’s Red Zone has been completely sealed.

The gates of Parliament House have been shut. There is also a heavy police presence; police are stationed inside and outside Parliament House.

In addition, a prisoner van and an armored vehicle have been stationed outside Parliament House.

Shahrah-e-Dastoor has been completely blocked via Radio Pakistan Chowk, where a large police force has been deployed. Police are not allowing anyone, whether a citizen or a member of the National Assembly, to go towards Parliament House.

PTI MNAs Iqbal Afridi and Umair Niazi were also stopped at Radio Pakistan Chowk.

PPP MNA Fatahullah Khan had a confrontation with the police after he was not allowed to go to Parliament. He alleged that police personnel had slapped his guard.
