Russian General Killed in Car Bomb Explosion in Moscow

A Russian general was killed in a car bomb explosion in the Russian capital, Moscow.

According to foreign media reports, an explosive device was detonated under the general’s car in the South of Russia. The vehicle exploded in a car park on Yaseneva Street, with the driver inside, at approximately 7am Moscow time.

The blast killed Lieutenant General Fanil Sarwarov, who was the head of the Operational Training Department.

Russian media reports claim that Ukrainian Special Forces were behind the attack; however, Ukrainian authorities have not yet responded to the allegation.
