School sweeper arrested for molesting minor in Karachi

Police have arrested a school sweeper over allegations of molesting a minor girl, as per reports.

The incident took place at a school in P&T Colony. Acting swiftly, the Gizra Police detained the school janitor, who was accused of harassing a seven-year-old student and engaging in inappropriate behavior.

Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and interrogated the suspect. The minor identified the accused, who reportedly confessed to the crime.

The spokesperson added that a case was registered against the suspect, and he had been handed over to investigative authorities under the supervision of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South for further legal action.

Earlier, a sessions court awarded a 14-year jail term to a school van driver for molesting a minor girl.

The convict, Owais Khan, was found guilty of abusing a seven-year-old girl while she was alone in the vehicle during pick and drop duty.
