In a tragic road accident, a SZABIST professor lost his life in Karachi.

According to details, 35-year-old Assistant Professor Iftikhar Ahmed Bhutto, a father of four, was fatally struck by a speeding trailer in the Landhi Future Colony area.

Professor Iftikhar, affiliated SZABIST University and also teaching mathematics at Superior College in Shah Faisal Colony, had left his home in Gulshan-e-Hadeed early in the morning to attend college.

He was crushed near Daud Chowrangi by the trailer, whose driver fled the scene.

Despite sustaining critical injuries and being trapped under the vehicle, Professor Iftikhar continued to identify himself and provide his address.

He succumbed to excessive bleeding before reaching the hospital.

His funeral prayers were offered at Baab-e-Rehmat Masjid, Gulshan-e-Hadeed Phase-2 and the Quran Khuwani and Dua will be held on monday at 3pm in Room 110 at 100 Campus of SBABIST University.

Another tragic case occurred in DHA Phase VI on Khayaban-e-Nishat, where a double-cabin vehicle hit a motorcycle, killing Murtaza, a food delivery rider, on the spot. The driver has been taken into custody.

Elsewhere, a woman and her son were hit near Karsaz on Shahrah-e-Faisal; the mother was critically injured, while the child died on the scene.

Additionally, a motorcyclist lost his life after being hit by an unknown vehicle near Jam Sadiq Bridge in Qayyumabad.
