Three-year-old dies after falling into manhole in Kasur

A three-year-old boy has died after falling into a manhole at a marriage hall in Mustafabad, Kasur.

Police said Ali Raza was attending a wedding with his family when he slipped and fell into the open manhole while playing.

He was rescued and taken to the hospital in critical condition, but tragically could not be saved.

A case has been registered under Section 322 against the marriage hall owner, manager, contractor, and other staff, with the Chief Officer of Mustafabad Municipal Corporation named as the complainant.

According to Kasur District Police Officer Issa Khan, three teams have been formed to apprehend the accused.

Earlier, a mother and her minor daughter had fallen into the sewer at the site of the under-construction Data Darbar expansion project near Bhatti Gate on Wednesday.

While the woman’s body was found late at night the same day, the 10-month-old child’s body was recovered on Thursday.
